Hello, Fellow Bookworms!

Are you ready to dive into another reading adventure this week? This week we have a treat for you! We are featuring the best books by Paulo Coelho! He’s one of our favorite writers of all time, a true genius of the written word. He always wanted to be a writer, ever since he was a teenager. His first book didn’t really do well, and he was very discouraged to continue writing. He said that he was looking for a sign – if he was supposed to continue to write, then God would send him a sign, a white feather by the end of the day.

A white feather appeared, he went home, started writing and he wrote one of the best books ever written, the one that made him famous, and the one with the most wisdom – The Alchemist. From there on, Coelho wrote a lot of books, each and everyone with a deep, spiritual message and wisdom.

Even after all these years, when we re-read his books, with every read we find new wisdom, new meanings we missed, a new piece of ourselves. That is why today we are sharing with you our 5 favorite books by Paulo Coelho that helped us rediscover ourselves:

The Alchemist

The story in "The Alchemist" is simple to follow. It all starts with a little shepherd boy that has a dream about a treasure. As the little shepherd starts its journey, to discover the treasure he soon learns that the world is a cruel place. Robbed of all of his belonging he continues walking towards his dream. As each sentence progresses, Paolo drops wisdom unlike any other. It is no wonder that the quotes from "The Alchemist" are one of the most well-known in the world. You follow the story of a little shepherd boy relentlessly and suddenly you are so stunned by the wisdom that is front of you that you have to step back a bit and think about it.

That is the true masterpiece of Coelho's writing. Keeping you on the edge, needing to know more of the story, but at the same time hitting you so hard with a random sentence, so beautiful, so well-spoken and most importantly - so true and wise that you have to take a break.

I could write more about the plotline, but I am afraid that we would be giving away too much to you guys. But we definitely recommend it wholeheartedly to you! Read and be amazed at the wisdom that Paolo Coelho provides. Learn how a little shepherd boy can go through so much - much like yourself. And most importantly learn. Let the wisdom sink into you and learn from the wisdom of the true master of writing - Paulo Coelho.

We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity.

The Supreme Gift

Regarding spirituality, faith is considered to be the supreme gift, if you believe you will receive. In the book, a certain Henry Drummond who was a missionary was asked to replace a famous preacher. He was not very enthusiastic about it but ended up doing it anyway. And it was and it will remain one of the best, powerful and beautiful texts ever written about The True Supreme Gift – Love. He gave an entirely new meaning of the words of St.Paul, and not only that – he analyzed love and split it into five elements -patience, kindness, generosity, humility, gentleness, dedication, tolerance, sincerity, and innocence.

In this amazing book, Coelho did what he does best – he took something so simple and analyzed it so deeply and profoundly that his words, reach onto you, and leave you forever changed.

One loves because Love is the Greatest Gift, not because it gives us something in return.

Eleven Minutes

This beautiful book is an amazing journey of self-discovery and understanding love. The story follows young Maria, from a Brazilian village. She struggled with love in her life, and like every young person she was left heartbroken.

Her beliefs about love are very limited, she closed herself off, however, that all started to change when she embarked on a journey and met a young painter, that not only challenges her understanding of love but also helps her to discover herself and understand herself more. Through her journey of self-discovery, it’s also very easy to connect and understand ourselves better and embark on our own self-discovery journey. An amazing book to read!

Everything tells me that I am about to make a wrong decision, but making mistakes is just part of life. What does the world want of me? Does it want me to take no risks, to go back to where I came from because I didn't have the courage to say "yes" to life?

By the River Piedra, I Sat Down and Wept

Often life can be very peaceful one moment, and the very next it can hurl us into the abyss. Sometimes one decision can change your entire life – much like life has changed for Pillar. This beautiful book yet again explores love, in a beautifully poetic way, describing the struggles and inner demons everyone has to face. Ultimately we understand that love is pure surrendering, and the way Paolo depicts that journey is truly majestic and beautiful.

But ultimately there is no good reason for our suffering, for in every love lies the seed of our growth. The more we love, the closer we come to a spiritual experience. Those who are truly enlightened, those whose souls are illuminated by love, have been able to overcome all the inhibitions... They have been joyful — because those who love conquer the world and have no fear of loss. True love is an act of total surrender.

Warrior Of The Light

And last but not the least, Warrior Of Light is one of the biggest masterpieces written by Paulo Coelho. This beautiful book is divided into short passages that help you dive deep into self-exploration, and lead a more joyful and fulfilling life. We loved this beautiful book filled with wisdom – definitely, a must-read.

Behind the mask of ice that people wear, there beats a heart of fire.
