You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one.

Henry David Thoreau

We all want our lives to get better. Many people think that simply their circumstances aren’t great at the moment and that they just can’t make their lives better. However, I and our tribe know that if we want a better life, and we are not having it, the issue is with us, not the circumstances or anyone else.

To be more precise, we lack the willpower and self-control to create our own damn magic. Now, many people believe that willpower and self-control are the same things. In reality, willpower is that mysterious power within that drives us to do things. Willpower fuels our self-control and self-discipline, helping us stay on track with our goals.

In a way, willpower is your ability to focus on your goals, while self-discipline and self-control help you to continuously take action to accomplish your goals. So obviously willpower is super important when you are trying to create your own damn magic.

Without it, you probably wouldn’t have even taken the first step! However, here you are on this amazing journey with us, and you are doing awesome! To keep yourself on track, here are a few ways to increase your willpower:

Crystal Healing

Citrine – Citrine is an amazing crystal when it comes to enhancing personal will and creativity. Because it connects directly to the Solar Plexus Chakra, which is the energy center of your inner drive, and the Sacral Chakra, which is the energy center of your inner passion, it’s the perfect stone to work with to stimulate and enhance your personal will.

Hematite – As a Root Chakra stone, Hematite is also known as the stone of perseverance, endurance, and inner strength. If you have been feeling like you need some extra strength to enhance your inner will then meditating and working with Hematite is an amazing way to do so.

Lapis Lazuli – Sometimes, your personal willpower is depleted not for lack of trying and self-control, but simply because you lack the wisdom to bring the right decisions. Meditating and working with Lapis Lazuli can help you gain a better understanding of yourself and the Universe, paving the road to infinite knowledge, helping you to tap into some extra wisdom to keep you on the right track.

Get Organized

Start your day with a plan. What is that one big goal of your day? What are the three most important tasks that you need to finish today? When you start your day, instead of focusing on how much you need to get done, focus on the important things by asking these questions and keeping yourself focused on achieving them.

Forgiveness, Not Shame!

Whenever you procrastinate and you don’t meet your goals because of it, you probably feel guilt and shame. However, a lot of research showed that people who are carrying their shame, hoping that they will shame themselves no longer procrastinating – but that doesn’t work really well.

That’s because when you forgive yourself and let yourself move on, will motivate you more than shaming yourself. Positive reinforcement is an amazing way to increase your willpower! So, let go of the shame, and embrace forgiveness.
