Hello everyone!
Today we have another magical reading recommendation just for you guys! Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol S. Dweck is an amazing book that shows a different perspective and changes the concept of what can and can’t be done. Mrs. Dweck is all about the mindsets and how it can change your lives.
In today’s society, there seems to be a mindset embedded deep in the mind of the most of the population that you are supposed to have a talent for doing something. And if you don’t, you are basically condemned to fail because you simply don’t have the talent, right?
WRONG.
This concept is entirely wrong because even if you do have talent you have to work on it. Nothing comes easy and effortlessly in life. In her book, Mrs. Dweck shows that people who have accepted that they don’t have a natural knack for something are far less successful than people who believe that everything can be achieved through determination and hard work.
In other words, everything can be learned no matter how hard the task or the job might seem to be. This is what Mrs. Dweck calls a growth mindset, if you set your mind into doing something, even if you have no idea how to start, through the process of learning and not giving up, no matter how tiny the steps might be, you will achieve your goal.
