Release, Reset, Rise • Full Moon in Capricorn

Welcome back, magic maker 🌕♑

The Full Moon in Capricorn arrived on June 29th carrying something heavy in its hands — and an invitation to finally put it down.

This was not a quiet moon. Mercury stationed retrograde on the very same afternoon. The sky was serious, the energy was loaded, and yet everyone who showed up chose to work with it anyway.

That means something.

✨ About This Full Moon

Full Moon in Capricorn
🗓 June 29, 2026
🌕 Moon at 8°14' Capricorn | ☀️ Sun in Cancer
☿ Mercury Retrograde begins · 26°15' Cancer · 1:35pm
□ Moon square Neptune in Aries · fog vs. clarity
□ Moon square Saturn in Aries · old rules vs. new self
⚹ Moon sextile North Node in Pisces · soul alignment available

A Full Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon sit directly across from each other in the sky — a moment of illumination, culmination, and release. What was planted at the New Moon is now fully visible. The light is on. You can see clearly.

In Capricorn — the sign of structure, ambition, legacy, and responsibility — that illumination lands in the places where we have been strong for too long. Where we have been holding up systems, expectations, and stories that belong to an older version of ourselves.

This Full Moon also carried the energy of the Strawberry Moon — the traditional June Full Moon named by Algonquin peoples to mark the ripening of wild strawberries and the height of the summer harvest. In European traditions it is also called the Rose Moon or the Honey Moon. A time of sweetness and fullness.

Sweet on the outside. Serious on the inside. The harvest is real — and so is the work it took to get here.

🪐 The Astrology Deep Dive

Every Full Moon activates a polarity. Tonight that axis was Cancer and Capricorn — one of the oldest tensions in the zodiac.

Cancer is the Moon's home sign. Nurture, emotion, belonging, the inner world. Cancer asks: how am I feeling? Who do I feel safe with? What feeds my soul?

Capricorn is where the Moon was full. Structure, ambition, legacy, the outer world. Capricorn asks: what am I building? What do I owe? What is expected of me?

The tension between these two signs is one of the most human tensions that exists — the life I feel called to live versus the life I feel responsible for. Tonight we didn't choose one or the other. We found the balance. Both. Integrated. On our own terms.

The aspects made this moon even more complex. Squaring Neptune in Aries asked us where fog had replaced clarity — where we had been seeing what we wanted to see instead of what was actually there. Squaring Saturn in Aries asked us which rules, structures, and expectations had quietly stopped belonging to our actual lives. And the sextile to the North Node in Pisces opened a door — soul alignment was genuinely available for anyone willing to step through it.

The three cards pulled for this Full Moon told the whole story: Page of Cups, Death, Two of Wands. Something tender wanting to arrive. A chapter completing in transformation rather than tragedy. And a figure standing at the edge of something bigger, staff in hand, horizon ahead — already knowing what they want, needing only to choose it.

Release what is complete. Receive what is coming. Rise ready.

⚡ Astro Alert: Mercury Retrograde + The July Symphony

Mercury stationed retrograde on June 29th at 1:35pm — the same day as the Full Moon — at 26°15' Cancer. It will travel back to 16°19' Cancer before stationing direct on July 23rd. The shadow period clears completely on August 7th when Mercury returns to 26°15'.

This is the second Mercury retrograde of 2026 and it lives entirely in Cancer — which means the review is emotional. It is about what we feel, what we need, what we never said, and what we said too soon.

The pre-shadow began on June 13th. Anything that surfaced, started, or showed up between June 13th and June 29th is not finished yet. The retrograde will revisit it. The shadow will close it.

And then — July.

Between July 14th and July 25th, eight major planetary transits fire off in ten days. This is not a coincidence. This is a symphony.

July 14 — New Moon in Cancer · a tender new beginning, the portal opens
July 15 — Uranus sextile Neptune · innovation meets vision
July 18 — Uranus trine Pluto · transformation that flows instead of forces
July 20 — Jupiter trine Neptune · dreams ready to become real get a serious boost
July 20 — Jupiter oppose Pluto · power and transformation face off
July 21 — Jupiter sextile Uranus · breakthroughs arrive, say yes to what surprises you
July 23 — Mercury direct 🎉 · the fog lifts, clarity returns
July 25 — Neptune sextile Pluto · spiritual evolution meets structural transformation, for the history books

Several of these planets are clustering around 4 degrees — Jupiter at 4 Leo, Pluto at 4 Aquarius, Uranus at 4 Gemini, Neptune at 4 Aries. Four planets. Four signs. Four degrees. A grand cross activation that will be felt.

What you released on June 29th is what makes room for what July wants to give you.

🌕 The Moon Through the Houses

This Full Moon at 8° Capricorn activated a different house for everyone — and that house is where the release was living.

1st — Release the mask
2nd — Release scarcity
3rd — Release the story
4th — Release inherited weight
5th — Release performing joy
6th — Release the grind
7th — Release the dynamic
8th — Release the grip
9th — Release the dogma
10th — Release the hustle
11th — Release the people pleasing
12th — Release the silence

Mercury retrograde moved through Cancer simultaneously — activating the opposite house for each person and asking for a parallel review in that area of life.

🃏 The Cards

For our online Magic Makers, each person received a personal card pull at the opening — drawn just for them as they settled into the energy of the night. We closed with a collective card for the whole room, a final companion to carry through this lunar cycle.

For our in-person Magic Makers, an oracle card waited face-down at each seat. And tucked under every worksheet, a hidden card — holding space all evening, waiting to be revealed at exactly the right moment.

The collective cards for this Full Moon: Page of Cups · Death · Two of Wands.
Something soft is arriving. Something is complete. And you already know where you're going.

🌊 A Closing Reflection

Capricorn always wants to keep going. One more task. One more responsibility. One more thing to hold up before you allow yourself to rest.

But this Full Moon said: put it down.

Not forever. Not in defeat. With intention. With the wisdom of someone who knows that what you release tonight creates space for what July is already moving toward you.

You showed up on a Full Moon that arrived the same afternoon as a Mercury Retrograde. You sat with the weight of what you've been carrying and you named it. You wrote it on a bay leaf and you let it go. You built a grid and lit a candle and said: I made space. Now I'm ready.

That is not a small thing.

The Strawberry Moon ripened something in you tonight. The harvest was real. And what you planted in the release — in the willingness to let the old structure fall — is already beginning to grow into something that fits the life you are actually building.

Go home lighter than you arrived.
Trust what's ending. Trust what's coming. Trust yourself.

Release. Reset. Rise. 🌕

With love,
Shereen and the My Little Magic Shop Team 🌕♑
