Word of the Week - Joy
•Posted on December 26 2017
Joy is often mixed up with happiness. But the thing is, even when you say both words out loud, they leave a very different impression and feeling on us. Happiness is a word that we hear most of the time, but somehow it doesn’t bring out the same as joy. You can be happy with something or someone for a while and then get back to what you were doing.
Joy is completely different.
It shakes us to the core. We can feel our heart radiate with positivity when we are in a state of joy. You can’t hold back on joy, no matter what you are doing, a wide smile and bliss will appear on your face. And this is what we mostly strive to achieve in our life – joy, to shake us to the very last atom of our existence and not to be blinded by the happiness that passes within the minute. So, how do we do this? How do we achieve a constant state of joy? The truth is, in life, in this existence it is merely impossible to be in a constant state of joy. There are ups and downs in life, but even the downs have their own positive side to life.
We are better, after the ups and after the downs, and we are one step closer to completing the purpose of our life. And that is how we will find joy, by learning from both bad and good and never giving up.
