Word of the Day: Chakra
•Posted on December 04 2017
Hello everyone!
We have another magical word this week for you guys!
You might be hearing for it quite a bit in these couple of weeks!
Chakra I’m sure you’ve heard this word a lot lately, since yoga has became very popular these days. I bet you heard someone was trying to balance their chakras or visualize them. So, what exactly is a chakra?
Well, the word itself comes from Buddhist religion and when translated its literal translation is “a wheel”. Chakra actually signifies an energy center in the body and the term “a wheel” from which it comes describes the very nature of energy – a never-ending circle that never stops moving.
The Chakra points in the body are split in: physical and non-physical since the very study the word comes from says that human beings exist in two parallel dimensions – the physical and non-physical.
Each chakra in the body belongs to one of these dimensions and has its own meaning, characteristics and regions of your body and life that it affects in more ways than one. The best way to get in touch with your chakras and balance them is through meditation and yoga.
