•Posted on July 11 2018
When it comes to Astrology, there are simply so many things that play a huge role in your life. The placement of the planets, your astrology sign, your birthdate, your sun sign, and of course the houses. Astrology houses hold so much knowledge and crucial information about your life. This is why you should go on this magical journey through the houses with us! Each Wednesday we will introduce you to a different house. And as your knowledge of the astrological houses increases so will your path in life become clearer. It’s time to take things into your own hands and create your own damn magic!
What are Houses in Astrology?
If the ten planets are the actors that contribute to the cosmic play and the twelve signs are the roles, the archetypes that they embody, then the houses are the stage itself, divided into twelve possible set-ups where the script (the energy) manifests into the concrete. And because subjectivity is the name of the game, especially when it comes to astrology, we have to admit that each of us has their own individual stage.
Why is your birth date so important?
Sharing your birth date with someone means that you also share planet placements in signs, but the houses tell a different story. Depending on where you took your first breath, the twelve stages of your life will look different. This is because the houses don’t depend on the revolution of Earth around the Sun, but on the Earth’s rotation around its own axis- a smaller-scale movement that reinforces the importance of individual perspective, as it results in each location on our planet receiving different amounts of light from the Sun.
How do houses in astrology combine with your birth date?
When we say that the houses represent stages, we’re talking about location, space – what concrete area of your life is influenced?- but also about a process in time. The astrological wheel reminds us that life flows from cycle to cycle in a circular motion, and houses aren’t an exception to this rule. So let’s start our journey!
