Word Of The Week – Kindness
•Posted on February 05 2020
Do things for people not because of who they are or what they do in return, but because of who you are.
Harold S. Kushner
Have you always wondered what kindness is? After all, wherever you check, whomever you ask they will all give you a slightly different definition of kindness. So, what exactly is kindness then?
For us, kindness is a quality we acquire when we fully heal our souls, we awaken self-love and work on self-acceptance that someone else’s success no longer makes us feel threatened, and leave us feeling bad about ourselves. When you no longer find consolation in someone else’s failure, and instead you feel genuine appreciation towards all living beings, that you can’t help yourself but offer your help, without expecting anything in return, then we’d say that you have awakened kindness within yourself.
Kindness isn’t something that you do to make yourself feel better, it’s simply a result of a deeper understanding of life. Once you understand that life isn’t a contest or a race between the people around you, but rather it’s a joined effort, where the journey of an individual helps in evolving, growing and becoming better as a human race, then your soul will realize that in helping others, you are also helping yourself. So, why not work on awakening kindness?
