Astro Alert: Jupiter Conjunct Pluto in Capricorn
•Posted on November 09 2020
After April 4 and June 30, the third installment of the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction wraps up the issues linked to power, authority, control, crisis, death, as well as unexpected growth and resilience that have been active this year.
Pluto has been digging around in hard-working Capricorn since 2008, exposing deceit, abuse, corruption, and outdated social structures, while at the same time tempting those on top to misuse their power. Jupiter, the planet of expansion, meeting Pluto, the planet of extremes, has turned 2020 into an intense year when truth, justice, and growth are being found, often in a painful way, through crisis and separation.
For this final conjunction of the year, we can expect themes around justice, power, authority, crisis, a death that have played out around April and June to reemerge and hopefully to reach a point of balance but not before building up to a critical point. The way this energy is expressed could be visible in the political arena (in the aftermath of the elections), or it could be COVID-related (Jupiter rules health, and Pluto, death); possibly, it will be both. Before Jupiter shifts into innovative Aquarius in December, his final conjunction with heavy Pluto brings dissolution of the old to make space for the new, in ways that we are, perhaps, only starting to understand.
The best way to meet the energy of this rare conjunction is to find faith during challenging times, to reflect on how we deal with power (remembering that there’s no real power without love), and to find the courage of leaving unhealthy attachments behind, welcoming transformation.
