What if winter — the season, the feeling, the ache — wasn't something to push through, but something sacred to tend?

My Little Magic Shop is honored to welcome Asha Frost, Indigenous Medicine Woman, Hay House author, and beloved voice in the world of ancestral healing, for an intimate evening celebrating her new book, The Inner Winter: Indigenous Wisdom for Slow Medicine, Rest, and Renewal in Every Season.

Published just two weeks before this evening, The Inner Winter arrives at exactly the right moment, as the city settles into the dark and cold, and as more and more of us are quietly exhausted by a culture that demands constant light, constant productivity, constant becoming. Following in the footsteps of Wintering by Katherine May and Rest Is Resistance by Tricia Hersey, Asha brings a heart-centered Indigenous perspective to the rising call for rest, repair, and reconnection, one rooted in the Medicine Wheel, Ojibwe ancestral wisdom, and her own lived experience with lupus.

This is not a book about fixing your winter. It is a guide to honoring it.

The evening will open with Asha reading a selection from The Inner Winter, letting the words settle into the room the way only a live reading can. From there, Asha will be joined in conversation by Luis Mojica, somatic healer, holistic practitioner, and host of the Holistic Life Navigation podcast, for a warm, unhurried dialogue about rest, slow medicine, chronic illness, ancestral healing, and what it means to come home to yourself in the dark.

A live Q&A and book signing will close the evening, giving guests the chance to bring a piece of this wisdom home with them.

Come as you are. Especially if you are tired. 🌿
