Namaste - Word of the Week
•Posted on June 11 2018
In this very Zen month, let’s take a time and check what Namaste really means. We are sure you have heard it very often these days, it seems like Namaste is everywhere.
But why do people feel the need to say Namaste?
What does Namaste mean?
The literal translation of the word Namaste is: “I bow to you”. Furthermore, the very gesture while saying it is a bow. But this has much deeper meaning than you think. You are not demeaning yourself by bowing and saying Namaste. You are simply acknowledging the other person’s existence.
By saying the very word Namaste you are acknowledging the other person as your equal. A soul that journeys with you in this amazing Universe of ours. A soul, just like yours. A soul that is going on the same magical path as you. You are acknowledging the magical spark that lies within the Heart Chakra. And when you say that amazing word – Namaste, you are saying much more than you think.
It's the most awesome way to say: My magic recognizes and honors your magic. No matter the differences, we are on the same journey, together. And you need only one word, Namaste!
Namaste means that whatever is precious and beautiful in me honors whatever is precious and beautiful in you.
