The Lessons I’ve Learned About Trusting My Own Magic
•Posted on March 19 2025

Let’s talk about something that’s been a lifelong lesson for me: trusting my own magic. Not the flashy, performative kind, but the deep, unshakable, inner-knowing magic—the kind that comes from believing in yourself even when everything around you feels uncertain.
What Does Trusting Your Magic Even Mean?
For me, it’s about developing confidence in how well you know yourself versus the false stories we tell ourselves—those internalized versions of what other people think of us. It’s about that quiet, steady, calm voice inside, the one that reminds you that you are pure magic, that you are capable, and that you have everything you need within you already.
It’s not the loud, antagonizing voice that tells you you're failing, or that you're behind, or that you need to be perfect. It’s the voice that chooses kindness, encourages you, and believes in you unconditionally. The one that stands steady even when everything else feels like it's shifting beneath your feet.
How I Learned to Trust My Magic (The Hard Way)
I wish I could say this lesson came easily. But after four years of Pluto transits (hello, cosmic wrecking ball) hitting my Sun, Mercury, and Pluto, my life completely morphed.
-
My long-term relationship ended.
-
I lost my corporate retail job—three times in three years.
-
I got the opportunity of a lifetime to open my store—something I had put on my vision board in 2021.
And as incredible as that opportunity was, it came with so much unknown. I had to navigate risk, find grounding, and manage an avalanche of fear and self-doubt. How would I make it work? What if I failed? What if I wasn’t ready?
Through all of this, there was only one thing (outside of an incredible, supportive community) that kept me moving forward—my inner voice. No matter how much fear and doubt crept in, that voice always found a way to break through, whispering:
“You have something special to share. The world needs you in ways you can’t even dream up yet. Just trust. Keep going.”
And so I did. One foot in front of the other. One risk at a time. One lesson at a time.
Magic, Business, and the Wild Ride of Entrepreneurship
No one told me how much your personal journey directly influences your business. When you work for someone else, there’s a level of separation between your emotions and the success of the company. But when you work for yourself? Your business mirrors your energy.
-
Bad mood? Empty shop.
-
Good mood? Someone will walk in and cheer you on.
-
Fear and doubt? Things slow down.
-
Confidence and trust? Doors start to open.
Entrepreneurship is like being on the wildest rollercoaster, except you have no idea when the next drop is coming, how long the loops will last, or if there’s a cliff at the end. But learning to trust your magic means enjoying the ride anyway—even when it’s scary, even when you can’t see what’s ahead.
Lessons I’ve Learned (And That You Can Use, Too)
-
Celebrate the Small Wins. Progress isn’t always linear, and even the tiniest victories matter.
-
Surround Yourself with Support. Have a group of people who can hold space for you when you’re drained and need a boost.
-
Listen to the Right Voice. Not the fearful, critical one—but the steady, kind, wise one that knows you are meant for something great.
-
Keep Going, Even When It’s Hard. Failure isn’t the end—it’s just part of the process. Most people don’t even start. The fact that you have is already a win.
-
Your Magic is Yours Alone. No one else can replicate it. The way you see the world, your experiences, your dreams—they matter.
So the next time doubt creeps in, take a deep breath and remind yourself: You are pure magic. And the universe is waiting for you to share it.
