Full Moon In Scorpio – Let’s Release Attachments!

This month’s Scorpio Full Moon mark the peak of a lunar cycle that started with April’s Taurus New Moon. The sensual energy of Scorpio and Taurus speaks (or rather whispers) about our bodies, our attachments, our desires, our resources (personal and shared), and our relationships.

What is coming to the surface in these areas for you? Scorpio Full Moons ask us to balance between staying rooted in our bodies and enjoying the simple things in life (the Taurus Sun) and connecting to what is hidden, mysterious, and complex (the Scorpio Moon). We can get to our emotions via the body, working with somatic healing techniques, or exploring our desires alone or with our partners.

Scorpio is all about peeling the layers of apparent simplicity to get to the heart of a problem, often through intense experiences that make us realize we’re incredibly (and sometimes painfully) alive. Notice what this Full Moon brings up for you and how you can use the experience to uncover deeper layers of yourself. The Sun conjuncts Mercury and trines transformative Pluto, making it a great time for journaling, psychotherapy, or shadow work.

With this harmonious aspect, the cosmic landscape supports us to cleanse the attachments, the resentments, the wounds that keep us in stagnation, without getting too stuck in complicated emotions. It could be a good idea to write down what you want to release and to burn the paper. Mars in Aquarius squaring this Full Moon might prompt us to take this kind of sudden, groundbreaking action in order to free ourselves from what’s been weighing us down, whether it’s an emotion, an addiction, or a relationship. At the same time, it could make some of us more reactive, abrupt, or argumentative than usual. Scorpio energy combined with Aquarius can be quite a secretive, edgy mix, so set your boundaries and give other people the space they need as well.

If arguments arise, try to stay mindful and compassionate. You can think of anger as a guardian for more vulnerable states such as sadness or fear. Two softer aspects with Neptune and Jupiter nurture an atmosphere of healing and faith during this Full Moon. Even if dealing with our wounds, fears, and desires isn’t easy, darkness holds the promise of healing. At the same time, Neptune and Jupiter could tempt us to sweep problems under the rug, hoping that they’ll solve themselves; this will not happen on a Scorpio Full Moon. Our best strategy for these days is to be brave and to dare to feel our emotions fully. This holds true especially for Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, the signs that are most impacted by the Full Moon.

Releasing Attachments Scorpio Full Moon Ritual

The Full Moon is an amazing time to release attachments, especially when a Full Moon In Scorpio is going to give you a very hard time! We like to use a special combination of Selenite, Black Tourmaline, and Amethyst during these harsh Full Moons. Here is how to cleanse and release with them:

  • First off, start with your Selenite Stick. Hold it in your hand and focus on its beautiful light vibes. Then hold the Selenite Stick above your crystals and from the bottom of your Black Tourmaline and Amethyst start upward motions. Repeat three times to enhance the energy within your crystals.

  • Then, place your Selenite stick down, and take your Black Tourmaline in your palms. Sit upwards, and close your eyes. Take a few calming breaths, and try to focus on the energy of the Black Tourmaline. Then, return the focus to your body. Start from feeling your toes, then your legs, hips, belly, chest, shoulders, arms, palms, neck, and head. Bring attention to your entire body. Where does it feel like the energy is clogged or disturbed? Whenever you feel a disturbance in the energy in any part of your body, focus on directing the energy of Black Tourmaline towards that part to cleanse it. You can even place the Black Tourmaline on each part of your body, in turn, asking it to cleanse any negative vibes that don’t serve you. Awesome!

  • Now that we have cleansed inwards, it’s time to cleanse outwards. Take your Selenite stick, and with the intention of stopping all negative ties, and negative vibes that come through them, make a circle around yourself – with the pointy end of the Selenite stick outwards. Repeat this cycle three times!

  • Full Moons are usually the time when all emotions are heightened, and if you are prone to anxiety, this Scorpio Full Moon might kick your ass. Plus, all the energetical changes we made just now, by releasing all that doesn’t serve you might sometimes come as a shock to your body because even good energetical states can sometimes be unknown to your body – especially if you have been into a bad place for a while.

  • To calm yourself down and ease yourself into a new, better energetical state, filled with relaxation and calmness, take your Amethyst into your hands and close your eyes. Simply focus on your breath, and let Amethyst work its magic. It’s also a great idea to sleep with Amethyst below your pillow, or wear a piece of Amethyst with you while the Full Moon lasts to keep your chill vibes on!

  • Once you are done, thank the Universe and say a little prayer!

We hope you will enjoy this ritual!
