Moving doesn't change who you are. It only changes the view outside your window.

In Astrology, a Full Moon is a monthly occurrence where the Sun and the Moon are in opposite zodiac signs. In the case of this September Full Moon, we have the Moon in the sign of Pisces and the Sun in the sign of Virgo. The Moon governs our feelings, emotions, and ability to nurture ourselves.

On the other side, we have the Sun which governs our identity, ego, and sense of self. When these two powerful energies oppose, we have a Full moon asking us to create a better balance between our heads and our hearts. A Full Moon is about creating balance in our lives through merging our rational and instinctual desires, taking and releasing elements of both.

Every month, as the Sun moves along his journey through the signs, he eventually ends opposite the moon at some point, creating a Full Moon in each sign. This month, we have a Pisces Full Moon which asks us to recalibrate and rebalance the mystical with the practical, the ethereal with the substantial and the otherworldly with the mundane.

This Full Moon is demanding for us to add some realistic plans to our daydreams and to stop self-sabotaging and face our shadows. What’s more is that Uranus will be making a lovely aspect to the Full Moon, gifting us with a surprise that will only enhance the Universe's support in making these changes and releasing anything that is getting in our way.

The Full Moon In Pisces

Dear readers, the start of September is marked by an otherworldly, emotion-heightening Pisces Full Moon on the 2nd that brings insights into the area of spirituality, compassion, creativity, self-sacrifice, and self-undoing. How have you been giving to others while also setting boundaries for your energy?

While the Pisces Moon craves to connect to the source in any possible way, the opposing Virgo Sun asks for realism and practicality, having us search for a middle point between dreams and reality, faith and personal effort, boundlessness, and limits.

We could have sudden insights, meaningful dreams, or intense emotional fluctuations at this time as the Full Moon forms an exact aspect with lightning god Uranus. One way or another, there will be changes coming! The Universe wants to bring us closer to ourselves at this time.

How To Make The Most Of The Full Moon In Pisces?

This Full Moon In Pisces will have a lot of different meanings for everyone. For some, it will be a time where secrets and truth come to the surface. But for most of us, this Pisces Full Moon will be about figuring out where we are in control and where we aren’t. In other words, it will surely make us tick, and drive us to make changes in our life. Although it’s a dreamy Pisces Full Moon, it’s occurring during Virgo season - an earth sign.

This dynamic is an exceptionally amazing time to pursue inner balance, calmness, serenity, and dive into inner exploration. That means only one thing - it’s time to speak to your inner self! We have an amazing ritual for inner connection, and releasing negative vibes, for inner balance just for you! Here is how to do it:

Cleanse With Sage

Like every ritual, we like to kick things off on a clean slate. Not to mention that during Full Moon’s emotions usually are pretty rampant. That’s why it’s important to settle things down energetically and take a few moments to cleanse your home and yourself. Light your sage smudge stick, and take a few deep breaths. Then envelop your tools with the cleansing smoke, then envelop yourself with the smoke.

Then let the sage stick burn for a little while more. Allow your intuition to guide you on how much you should let it burn. Breathe and calm yourself down. When you are ready, open your window, and let the smoke and all negative energy go away, since it longer serves you.

Meditate With Amethyst

Now that you are properly cleansed and ready, it’s time to meditate and connect with your intuition and inner self. Take your Chevron Amethyst puffed heart in your hands and take a few deep breaths. Feel it brim with serene energy, slowly calming you and relaxing you. Then lay down and place the puffed heart on your chest. Place your Black Obsidian tumbled stone right below the puffed heart. Close your eyes and take deep breaths.

Visualize yourself in your inner garden. Somewhere along the path, you notice your higher self. It will guide you through your garden. Follow your higher self, it has something to show you. Observe closely on the places you take more time, what really stands out for you? Is your higher self speaking to you? Follow it, and listen to it closely.

Meditate With Black Obsidian

During your path, if you notice some darker areas in the garden or some vegetation that is drying up, those are the places your higher self is showing you that need nurturing, and cleansing. Focus on the energy of the black obsidian, and allow it to cleanse and nurture those spots. Just take breaths, and visualize the garden getting healthier, greener, well-groomed, and balanced. Once your walk is over, thank your higher self, and take a few deep breaths to distance yourself. When you are ready, open your eyes.

Take Notes In Your Journal

Right after your meditation start writing down things in your journal. Note down everything you remember, as best and as detailed as you can.

Drink Ceremonial Cacao & Reflect

Now that you have a lot of insight about what is going on, it’s time to make sense out of it. The cacao plant is one of the most respected plants for healing purposes, so much so that there are a lot of cacao ceremonies performed.  In most, you willingly let go of something that has been holding you back, thus making space in your heart for a new, better healthier intention to take place. But it also goes beyond that, because through the ceremony you get so in tune with yourself, that you get all the pieces of you that you knew and didn’t know existed communicating with each other. It’s a beautiful healing process. As you prepare your cacao, focus on the entire process. Don’t rush it, simply focus, be in the moment. Once you’ve poured your cacao in your cup, sit down and take a few deep breaths.

Close your eyes, and take deep breaths. Focus on breathing out all the unwillingness and fear of connecting with yourself. Breathe. Feel your body, your chest, your mind getting lighter as you leave these emotions behind, and you are making space for courage, and inner knowledge. Breathe in and breathe out.

Then take a sip, and savor it. Feel the shift of energy within you.

Then take another sip, and take another minute to savor the taste and feel the energy within you. With each sip, recall something you are grateful for.  Continue this process until you finish the entire cup.

Once you are done, place your hands close to your heart and say a little prayer of gratefulness to Nature for giving you this amazing gift.

Then it’s time to take notes! Note down all insight that comes as you drink your cacao, write down everything. Then compare the notes from right after the meditation, with the ones now, and dive deep into the meanings of the insights you had.

Enjoy the whole process of inner balance!
