Accept yourself, love yourself, and keep moving forward. If you want to fly, you have to give up what weighs you down.

Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

Two weeks after the New Moon, we’ve reached the half and the peak of the cycle: the moment when what has been unfolding until now is being fully realized. The bold moonlight brings to surface our progress from the past two weeks and, in a more general sense, from the past 6 months, since the New Moon that took place in this Full Moon’s sign.

The Moon is now opposite the Sun, with the Earth in the middle. The light of spirit fully illuminates our deepest emotions, patterns, and habits: it’s difficult to swipe them under the rug as we usually do. This is what the Full Moon craze is all about- we can’t hide our instinctual side anymore.

The Full Moon sign reveals to us the archetype whose wild side we can embody, from untamed Aries to deeply emotional Pisces. The Sun-Moon opposition can highlight extremes and conflicts in our inner being and in our lives, as Sol’s conscious intent can bump heads with the Moon’s unnamed instincts.

Depending on how things have been working out for us, be it through personal effort, divine inspiration, or ideally both, this is either a time of celebration or of reconsideration. Either way, it can get intense. Try not to put yourself down for what has passed- if possible, postpone any self-critique tendencies for when the Full Moon passes, your head clears again and you can look back at the situation with more calm.

The Full Moon In Taurus

The end of October brings an explosive Full Moon in Taurus. Even though it’s in the comfort-seeking, a stable sign of the Bull, the Moon forms an exact conjunction with groundbreaking Uranus, sending us mixed signals- do we need stability or change?

Can things stay the same if we’ve reached a new level of understanding and awareness? Now is a time when we can see results or experience peak moments in the area of finances, material security, resources and skills, attachments, and the physical body, depending on what we’ve been up to since May.

Perhaps some of us will change jobs or get an extra source of income. Some of us might want to be more financially independent, while others might focus on honing their skills. Uranus, the god of lightning, can bring change in many forms during this Full Moon, but no matter the particulars, the bottom line is this: we need to let go. What of?

Perhaps an attachment to a person, to a line of work, to material security, or to values that no longer help us progress. This can be true on a personal, but also on a social level. If you experience upheaval in your life, especially if you have strong placements in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius, be gentle with yourself as you reflect on the areas of life where you’ve been feeling stuck for the past six months. This Full Moon will help you break free.

Black Moon Lilith, the astrological point that represents our dark side, has just entered Taurus this month, so we’re likely to experience the shadow side of Taurus more than usual: possessiveness, jealousy, greediness, attachment to comfort and to pleasure.

On the other hand, the Scorpio Sun activates the part of us that wants to live intensely, to do everything with passion, to go beyond the simple pleasures of everyday life. Buried emotions will almost certainly come to the surface on this Full Moon, perhaps with jarring intensity. The question is: what will we choose to do?

Let’s allow ourselves to feel our emotions, as intense or surprising as they might be, and to take space from others or to do something different on this Full Moon, trusting that the right kind of changes is coming into our life. Letting go always makes space for new possibilities.

How To Make The Most Of The Full Moon In Taurus This October?

This full moon is the perfect time for letting go, and a lot of emotions and thoughts from the past might arise. We recommend that you should use this time to reflect and let go of anything that doesn’t serve you.

This Taurus Full Moon is excellent for accepting everything that comes to you, processing, reflecting, and then peacefully letting go. That is why we are suggesting to calm yourself, not to fight the emotions that arise, and instead use this time to create your own damn magic with a fire ceremony. Here is how to do it:

You will need a pen, paper, and a lighter and about half an hour of your time. - no notifications, no phone, no laptops - nothing that will disturb you. This time is for you to finally face everything that disturbs your peace and magic. A lot of memories, thoughts, and emotions from the past might have been arising this week, and if you were trying to keep them down, and fight against them - then now is the proper time to deal with them.

Sit down, and take a few deep breaths. Breathe in for 5 seconds, hold your breath for 5 seconds, and then breathe out for 5 seconds. Repeat this process for 10 breaths. Breathe in and out, until you feel the calmness of mind. Great!

Now, take your pen and paper, and before you start writing, close your eyes and focus for a bit. Which emotions are arising? Why? From where do they come from? What are your worries? What are the shameful stuff you keep buried deep down? What made you upset?

Write everything down on the paper in front of you. Don’t censor yourself. Ask the universe to help you release all of these negative emotions onto the paper in front of you so that they no longer burden your soul.

When you are done writing, go over the things you wrote down, and check with yourself, do you need to add anything else? When you are done, close your eyes and say a little prayer to the Universe, ask it to help you let go of these negative emotions and thoughts easily, as you burn the paper.

We hope this mini fire ceremony will help you let go off everything that is holding you back in creating your own magic, and that it will help you to bring some calmness to your mind!
