Sometimes it seems like life is on a mission to go against you. No matter where you turn, there is just a new set of problems that await you. And with each set of problems, you diminish yourself, thinking that you have failed. But, have you ever thought that perhaps the problems are just problems because you are having that specific mindset? There is only one thing that will get you through life, no matter what happens. Believing in yourself and having healthy self-confidence. No matter what happens in life YOU are the only person you can count on 100% of the time.

What is self-confidence?

Self-confidence is the ability to know yourself enough that you can trust yourself. Building yourself to the person that you can always rely on, and being always there for yourself. Self-confidence is putting deep enough roots that no matter what storm hits you in life, you will never waver. It's knowing you are magical and owning it. However, one of the most common misconceptions is that self-confidence is bad. If you are thinking that self-confidence is just a pretty word for narcissism, then stop right there. There is a very fine line between healthy self-confidence and narcissism. And, you have to know that self-confidence is not about proving yourself to anyone but yourself.

Narcissism, on the other hand, is all about you being better than everyone else. It's about thinking that you are better than everyone else, and not stopping until you show it off to everyone. Healthy self-confidence is all about you. Finding your worth, your opinion of yourself and most important of all - growth. It's about accepting that you are at this moment not the best version of yourself. And making your piece with it. Self-confidence is about realizing that you may never be the best version of yourself and not being upset about it. Because you are in a state of constant growth. The more you learn, the more you grow, and let's face it, no one is all knowing. And that is okay! When you are self-confident, the only person you compare yourself to is the person you were yesterday. And that is completely magical. 

Why should you believe in yourself?

As we mentioned above, you are in a constant state of growth. In other words, there are infinite possibilities out there. But, if you constantly think that you will fail, how can you have any progress? For you to grow, and be self-confident you have to start to believe in yourself. You have to realize that even if you fail, you still have to gain something. In every failure, there is a lesson.  So, believe in yourself. Give yourself the credit you deserve. After all, you made it until now. And we are sure that life hasn't been a walk in the park. You have surpassed every obstacle life has thrown at you. And you are still going! So, don't cut yourself short. Because you rock at life, you just don't know it yet.
