The Sacral Chakra - Svadhishthana (in Sanskrit) is the second chakra of the chakras of matter and all chakras. It’s the center of creativity, passion, and pleasure. One might say that this is the chakra from which we get the zest for life and the energy center that helps us enjoy our lives to the fullest.

The Sanskrit name Svadhishthana comes from the two words - Sva which means “self” and Adhishthana which means “established”. Think of it like this, once you have balanced the Root Chakra - the foundation, you are building the second layer of existence.

Besides the bare necessities in life, you need something more, you need to find your interests, passions in life, and to experience personal freedom to create.

And as you indulge in creating this beautiful part of your life, you are also spiritually building the second floor of your spiritual system - thus you are already self-established, like the Sanskrit name of the Sacral Chakra suggests.

When you want to express your creative nature and discover the passions that bring pleasure to your life and your current existence, when you want to devote yourself to your imagination, personal freedom, and self-creation, and create your own damn magic, you need to step up on the next level and stimulate and harmonize the Sacral Chakra.

The Sacral Chakra is the center of creativity, imagination, and satisfaction. Everything that brings you pleasure in life, including your libido, sex drive all comes from the Sacral Chakra. As such, whenever your sacral chakra is imbalanced, you will feel dissatisfied in life, lack of creativity or everything in your life will lack pleasure.
